Two blocks east of Hwy 42, along the river. This would be a good winery to stop at on your way to Door County. It's located off Hwy 42 in Algoma, Wisconsin which is south of Sturgeon Bay. The von Stiehl Winery is Wisconsin's first licensed winery. Located in the 19th century Ahnapee Brewery building, which is a federal historic landmark; this Door County winery has limestone caverns which are now used for aging award-winning Riesling. The Stone's Throw Winery is located at the intersection of A and E - Peninsula Center. This Door County winery is west of Baileys Harbor and about five minutes from the Beachfront Inn. Wines made from fresh California grapes in a 100-year old stone barn. This Door County winery is best known for red wines, including Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This Door County winery is approximately 15 minutes west of our Baileys Harbor hotel, the Beachfront Inn. Established in 1985, the Orchard Country Winery & Market has been producing homegrown fruit wines on 100 acres of orchards and vineyards ever since. The Door Peninsula Winery is located on Cty Road I at Hwy 42, 7 miles north of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. This Door County winery is 20 minutes from the Beachfront Inn in Baileys Harbor. Housed in the charming Carlsville Elementary School built in 1868, this Door County winery offers more than 54 wines made onsite. The famous Sweet Cherry Wine produced by the Door Peninsula Winery is a favorite of visitors and locals alike.
