Whitefish Dunes State Park 920-823-2400 - is a nature center, 9 miles of cross country ski trails and the tallest dunes in Wisconsin. Cave Point is always a favorite tourist attraction, especially on windy days when the huge waves crash against the caves.Newport Beach State Park 920-854-2500 - is located between Ellison Bay and Gills Rock on Lake Michigan. It is a wilderness area with over 175 different species of wildlife. It also contains Europe Lake which offers 1.5 miles of fabulous shoreline for canoeing or kayaking.Potawatomi State Park 920-746-2890 - is located on the shore of Sturgeon Bay just west of the city. Its 75 foot observation tower gives a panoramic view that on a clear day reaches 16 miles across the Bay of Green Bay.Rock Island State Park 920-847-2235 - is a 906 acre island located one mile northeast of Jackson Harbor on Washington Island. Hiking, camping, swimming and fishing are available as well as ten miles of hiking trails. |
